Part 5: How We Roll
Our last day in Sweden and the sun finally came out (well, at least for a bit). The weekend has been so great and just what we needed. Something a bit different to how we usually roll (you know, by bike) and just the feeling of getting out of the city. Come with us and see what we got up to on our last day!
The kids grabbed their stuffed animals and we buckled up pretty early Sunday morning to get some fresh (sea) air. I know, we went to the beach yesterday, but this is pretty much our favourite place to be…. always. When you live your daily life in a busy city, I just love the contrast the sea gives us. An endless horizon and that special feeling of calm. I guess if you ask the kids they will tell you how much they love to run as fast as they can without stopping and to be able to scream as loud as they possibly can without being told off. We all get something we need from the big blue (..or should I say grey).
How lucky are we, our beach also has a playground! After hanging upside down for a bit we drove back to the cabin. We needed some lunch and enough time to say good bye to the summer house (and by that I mean clean up).
The sun is out so the jackets are off… They are both crazy about this toy-car, it was a Christmas gift years ago from Grandpa and it’s still going strong. They used this to prepare themselves for the trip back to Copenhagen.
Nobody wants to leave (I guess that’s a good thing) but we have to take Grandma back in to town and the car is all packed and ready. Our little adventure is almost over…
This might not look like an adventure to you, but for our family it means taking time out and getting out of the city. It’s letting the kids pack their own bags and stopping for coffee and cake in the middle of nowhere. It’s crossing the border between two countries with really loud music, or the quiet time in the car listening to an audio book (preferably something with monsters). And just the thought that you actually have the freedom go wherever you want, whenever you want to.

Our family of four have always lived in the city and now we have made Copenhagen our home. We have never owned a car, we do our school run with our cargo bike but at the weekends we love to head out of town and explore. Using a Car Collective means that we have to travel light to be able to pack in and out of so many different cars. Our two BeSafe iZi Flex FIX i-Size seats not only give us peace of mind but make travelling with kids so much easier. They are lightweight and easy to carry because of the smart, integrated carrying handles. The easy ISOfix system means that it just takes two clicks and the seats are installed and we are ready to go. Our kids love them and it means whatever car we are in they are always safe and sound in their own little world. Thanks BeSafe, happy kids makes for great adventures and we know they are safe, wherever the road takes us.
We were kind of amazed by how easy it was to use the BeSafe iZi Flex FIX i-Size, two clicks and they are in! Carrying them down all the way from the third floor was no problem either, they are so light! For us, it needs to be easy but we also need to know it’s going to be safe.
