iZi Modular – Defines flexibility

The iZi Modular Concept – Highest Safety and Flexibility

Modern parents and families require safe and flexible products. But what is actually defining a safe and flexible car seat?

Every day we receive a lot of questions from parents and also follow discussions on social media regarding what is important when choosing a car seat. Everyone seems to agree: safety is the number one priority. We have also noticed that user friendliness, comfort and a long period of use are important criteria too.

We have gathered the four most common points that parents consider when choosing a car seat, and certainly have had these in mind when developing our iZi Modular concept.

1) I want highest safety for my child

Safety is the number one priority for the majority of parents when choosing a car seat. Thus, our main focus when developing our iZi Modular concept was of course on safety. We did not only want our concept to perform at its best in test settings, but also in real life situations. We therefore used reality as a starting point and looked into real life accidents and statistics.

The BeSafe iZi Modular concept already performs superbly in crash tests and meets the severe requirements of the new EU standard R-129 (i-Size). However, we wanted more than that. That is why both the BeSafe iZi Go Modular i-Size and the iZi Modular i-Size have SIP+: an extra side impact protection that reduces the load on your child’s neck by an additional 20%.

In the latest edition of the ADAC/Stiftung Warentest car seat test, both products were tested and received top scores on safety, both in frontal and side impacts.

2) I want the seat to be easy to use in everyday life

We understand that you as modern parents are always “on the go” and need products that adapt to an active and mobile lifestyle. It is for example common that one parent drops off the child in kindergarden and the grandmother picks him/her up later on. This requires seats that are not only safe but also easy to install and easy to move between cars.

That is why the iZi Modular i-Size base is easy to install with ISOfix and clear indicators signal when it is fitted correctly. The car seat is then attached to the base in a single action – click, and you are ready to go.

Having a base that is separate from the seat allows the seat to be more lightweight, which makes it easy to handle and to move between cars.

Do you have two cars in your family? No problem! Simply install one base for each car and then move the same seat between both cars. This saves you both money and effort!

3) I want to be able to use the seat for a long time

When considering which car seat to purchase, you as parents of course also want to make sure that you get most out of the money invested. That is why being able to use the concept for as long as possible is another important factor.

The iZi Modular concept offers you a complete solution from newborn up to four years of age, since you can use the same base for both seats.

But it is of course equally important that your child will actually fit into the car seat during the whole period of use. We at BeSafe recommend that children stay rear facing for as long as possible, at least up until the age of four. That is why our iZi Modular is designed to grow together with your child. Its adjustable front brace saves space in your car when not needed, but also provides more leg space when your child grows older.

4) I want the greatest comfort for my child

Of course you want your child to travel comfortably. A happy child makes the driver calmer, which increases safety as well. That is why both the BeSafe iZi Go Modular i-Size and the iZi Modular i-Size feature thicker and softer textiles, as well as a padded 5-point safety harness. Extra cushions also help positioning your child correctly and give increased support.

The iZi Modular sleeping position can also easily be adjusted with just one hand, which further increases comfort for your child. This also prevents your child’s head from falling forward, which is not a security risk, but can be perceived as undesirable.
