The iZi Modular Concept – Highest Safety and flexibility
Modern parents and family’s requires safe and flexible products. We know this. So what is actually defining a safe and flexible car seat?
Every day we receive a lot of questions from parents and we also follow discussions in Social Medias regarding what’s important when choosing a car seat. Everyone seems to agree with us, safety is number one priority. But what we can also see is that user friendliness, how easy it is to install and move between cars is important criteria’s to fulfill.
We have gathered the four most common points parents evaluate when choosing a car seat and compared these with our iZi Modular concept.
1) Highest Safety for my child
Safety is the number one priority for the majority of parents when choosing a car seat.
When we developed the iZi Modular concept BeSafe’s focus was safety. We didn’t only want the product to perform at is best in test labs, but also in real life situations. We therefor used reality as a starting point and looked in to real life accidents and statistics.
The BeSafe iZi Modular already performs superbly in crash tests and meets the severe requirements of the new EU standard R-129 (i-Size). But we wanted more than that. In the latest edition of ADAC and Stiftung Warentest car seat test, both products where tested and received top scores on safety, both in frontal and side impact.
2) Easy to use in everyday life
We understand that you as modern parents are ‘on the go’ and require products that are adapted to an active and mobile lifestyle. For example, one parent leaves the child in kindergarten and later on grandmother picks him up. This requires products that are not only safe but also easy to mount and easy to move between cars.
That is why the iZi Modular i-Size base is easy to mount with ISOfix and clear indicators shows when fitted correctly. The car seat is then attached to the base in a single motion, click and you are ready to go.
Having the car seat that is separate from the base gives low weight, which in turn makes it easy to handle and move between cars.
Do you have two cars in your family? No worries. Simply install one base for each car and then move the same seat between both cars. This saves you both money and coordination.
3) Long period of use
When evaluating which car seat to purchase, you as parents of course also want to make sure that you get most out of the money invested. That is why being able to use the concept for as long as possible is also an important factor.
The iZi Modular concept gives a complete solution from newborn up to four years of age, since you can use the same base for both seats.
But what is of course equally important is that your child will actually fit into the car seat during the whole period of use. We at BeSafe recommend that children stay rear facing for as long as possible, at least to four years of age. That is why the iZi Modular is designed to grow together with your child. The adaptable front brace saves space in your car when not needed, but can also provide more leg space to your child as it grows older.

Off course you want your children to travel in comfort. A happy child makes the driver calmer which increases safety to.
That is why both iZi Go Modular and iZi Modular features a thicker and softer textiles and a padded 5-point safety harness. Extra cushions helps position the child correctly and gives your child increased support.
The iZi Modular sleeping position can also easily be adjusted with one hand during ride, which further increases comfort for your child. This also prevents your baby’s head from falling forward, which is not a security risk, but can be perceived as unpleasant.
